LEP Jobs IntelLeeds City Region Jobs Intel, has been developed to support schools, colleges and universities in presenting a range of videos of local businesses explaining some of the skills and attributes they look for when recruiting employees.  Accompanied by sector fact sheets and lesson plans for school teachers and careers advisers these resources are free to all.

 

Virtual Maths was developed by Leeds Beckett University via a grant from West Yorkshire Lifelong Learning Network.  This is a free to use online resource that encourages innovative teaching and learning of functional mathematics. Using links to real life problems, animations and graphics it provides a new perspective on maths in support of progression into a range of Degree programmes.

 

Transit was developed by University of Bradford with the support of a grant from the West Yorkshire Lifelong Learning Network.  This is a free to use online suite of support tools for students and tutors in FE to work through, enabling students to recognise and develop their strengths and their identified needs in preparation for learning in higher education.  It has a particular focus on Engineering and Science but much of the content is applicable to progression to Degree level study in general.

 

Leeds Pathways website hosts a range of videos and these can be accessed here. Although particularly focused on the Leeds Local Authority area they have application to the Leeds City Region.
