ACCESS TO HE ART AND DESIGN SUMMER SCHOOL

Considering a change in career? Looking to be inspired? Keen to develop your creative skills, learn more about art and design and meet like-minded people?
This free 3 day Summer School is aimed at enthusiastic, imaginative 19+ mature learners, who are seeking inspiration and wish to learn new creative practices.
You will also get an insight into what the Leeds College of Art Access to HE (Art & Design) and Level 2 Diploma in Visual Arts courses can offer mature learners.
Day 1: We will explore visual language through a range of experimental drawing techniques and approaches.
Day 2: We will creatively respond to nature through a field trip gathering visual research to work on over the Summer School.
Day 3: We will work with visual information from the field trip, experimenting with a range of artists materials including inks and water based paints. We will also consider artists with similar practices.

The number of places on this course are limited. We will write to you to confirm whether or not you have a place reserved on the Summer School.
Please note lunch is not provided. Please bring a packed lunch or there are several cafes nearby.
Local pay and display car parking is very restricted. Travelling to the Vernon Street building by public transport is recommended. It is a 10 minute walk from Leeds Railway Station.
