We are delighted to be supporting the new Festival of Learning aimed at promoting the benefits of learning for adults, whether this be learning for self-interest or for career development. The festival runs from 1st May to 20th June and includes VQ Day, a celebration of Vocational Qualification Achievement on 4th June and it concludes with Adult Learners Week between 14th and 20th June.
We will again be sponsoring the HEART Raising Aspiration award at the regional adult learners awards ceremony, this year hosted at The Tetley on 4th June.
Our partners are adding new events to the NIACE event listing and this currently includes some fantastic taster sessions by Leeds College of Building and opportunities to attend University of Bradford and Leeds College of Art to learn about the courses they have available. More events will continue to be added throughout the festival period so it is well worth checking back regularly to see what is going on.
It is also worth checking our own HEART event calendar where further events are available including open days/campus tours at Calderdale College, Kirklees College, Leeds City College, Leeds Beckett University and University of Huddersfield.
If you are considering returning to learning and are unsure of what or where to start then the University of Leeds Lifelong Learning Centre offer a free and impartial pre-entry information, advice and guidance service to help you make sense of the options available.
